AJAX Translator
Jan 04, 2006
For the volunteers working in the translation of Ubuntu Linux from English to a different language, here is a great tool based on AJAX: AJAX Translator To use it, simply select the language that you want to translate from in the upper textbox and the language that you want to translate to in the lower textbox made, and what the “magic” unfold! The translation happens dynamicaly as you type! Though a bit too literal, I find it to be of great help.

It pretty much supports all the major blog protocols out there and it has a neat interface. Since I use my Portable Firefox 1.5 a lot, this little gem works just perfect for me on the go!

No, I am not a conspiracy lunatic! I’ll refrain from posting what my true feelings are about the subject… Instead, I’ll point to an interesting video that has been circulating the net today. I’ll leave it up to you to make your own conclusions. Once again, as in every time I come across things like this, I can’t help but feel really, extremelly sad…
Well, so far nobody who read this blog (contrary to the portuguese version) has signed up for the Ubuntu Sweepstakes 2005! My other blog seems to be fairing much better though and 3 people have officially signed up! Maybe I’ve been spending way too much time handling the Ubuntu translation and such, and not getting enough exposure among the english-speaking folks? On an unrelated note, I just learned a new way for feeling relaxed all day long!
