Está aberto o período de inscrição para aqueles interessados a se candidatar para um dos 7 cargos para a mesa diretora da Fundação GNOME! Como eu sou um dos diretores atuais e por ter passado os últimos 12 meses organizando e tomando, junto com os outros diretores, as decisões que ajudaram o GNOME a chegar onde está hoje, quero então convidar a qualquer um com o tempo e dedicação para se candidatar este ano! I can’t believe it’s been this long already, but it is time for yet another Board of Directors Election! Having had the opportunity to serve on the Board for these last 12 months, I want to encourage anyone who have the time and interest to improve the GNOME project to run for one of the seven spots on the Board of Directors! GNOME Board of Directors: First Meeting

Today I attended my very first GNOME Board of Directors meeting. Though I won’t be able to vote on issues until July 1st, it was great to witness how the process works and be able to ask questions and receive answers directly from current and former board members.

I must say that the entire meeting felt very streamlined and ran smoothly, partially because of people like Vincent, Brian, German and Paul who seem to be on top of everything and juggling several balls at the same time! Stormy must sleep very well at night knowing she can count on people of this caliber to steer the project.
