Yesterday I managed to package GCompris 8.3 BETA 3-2 and successfuly run it at home. Packaging it was a bit tricky due to a couple of bugs I encountered along the way, but luckly bdoin was around #gcompris to confirm/deny my assumptions. The main reason for me doing this was so that Yv, my oldest, could spend some time in front of the computer doing something educational. I was extremelly surprised with the amount of different games available and the very broad range of levels included.

Assim falou Maudy Pedrão em uma mensagem enviada hoje para mim pelo Gajim. Ele estava se referindo ao seu último artigo sobre Como Largar do MS Outlook. Apesar de ainda não ter encontrado uma solução completa, este tipo de artigo é muito interessante para aqueles interessados em alternativas de software livre para o mundo dos negocios. Meu interesse é mais voltado para o mundo acadêmico, mais especificamente relacionado àescolas e como trazer nossas escolas para o século 21!

Neste mes de maio temos o Ubuntu Developer Summit -Sevilla, e temos 4 membros da equipe do Ubuntu Brasil procurando patrocínio. Ainda não achei tempo para enviar minhas propostas de tópicos a ser discutido, mas vou tentar de tudo para criar algo até o fim desta semana. Não sei quando vai sair o resultado do patrocínio, mas vou ficar na torcida para que pelo menos um representante de nossa comunidade possa comparecer.
