For The Win!

Cory came across as a very humble, down to earth kind of guy and it didn’t take long for the crowed to feel right at home.

[caption id=“attachment_1080” align=“alignleft” width=“152” caption=“The Maze Runner by James Dashner”][/caption] This past March I started a new routine to my Sunday mornings: shortly after breakfast with the kids, I flip my laptop open and start reading the Books section of the NY Times online. I wanted to get the real deal, dead tree “version” of it for quite some time, but at USD$6 just for the Sunday paper I figured that reading it online would have to do it.
Here’s what happened this week: Should you go to college straight out of high school? Over the weekend I came across an interesting article in the New York Timescalled “Plan B: Skip College“. According to the Department of Education, “no more than half of those who began a four-year[…] Django Developer Kit 1.2 I’m really excited to announce the release of my Django Developer Kit 1.2! Setting up a Django-based project in the appliance is a piece of cake!
[caption id="" align=“alignleft” width=“240” caption=“Can Money Buy Your Productivity?"][/caption] In True Motivation, my friend Vinny pointed to a very interesting video by Dan Pink, “author of several provocative, bestselling books about the changing world of work.“ This video talks about how research has come up with key factors to make people happier, successful and fulfilled: Autonomy, Mastery and Purpose! Ok, this shouldn’t really shock people, but how about this nice little nugget: when it comes down to tasks that require cognitive skills, offering more money as an incentive does not yield good results!
