Foi anunciado hoje na lista de membros do Rosetta e Tradutores do Ubuntu algumas das coisas que estão acontecendo no mundo do Rosetta[0]. A coisa mais importante que eu quero deixar bem claro, é a importância de terminar com todas as sugestões, traduções, e revisões pela equipe responsável pelas traduções do Ubuntu para o português brasileiro, até o dia 29 de maio! Se você tem um interesse genuino pelo projeto de traduções e deseja fazer a sua parte pela comunidade, venha conversar comigo ou qualquer outro frequentador do canal #ubuntu-br-tradutores no servidor chat.

I just received an email stating what I thought would be inevitable: Linux World Expo & Conference will no longer be held in Boston! Add to that the fact that it hasn’t been held in NYC for the last 2 years, this could mean the end of my long streak of participation at the event! :/ Year after year the event took on a more business-like approach, and colorfull couches and hang out areas were slowly converted to formal meeting lounges and the geeks were no longer the majority in attendance.

Meu último post no Planeta Ubuntu Brasil recebeu alguns comentários e até mesmo emails, a maioria me indicando qual seriam as pessoas que seriam visitadas, na hipótese que alguém pudesse viajar de volta ao passado. O objetivo do meu post foi, como a grande maioria dos posts que escrevo, para compartilhar a minha forma de ser e pensar com os leitores. Este blog serve como uma “janela” conectando o mundo do WWW àminha vida.

Se eu tivesse uma máquina do tempo e fosse dado a opção de escolher 2 épocas no passado para visitar e conhecer alguém, estas pessoas seriam, nesta ordem: Jesus Leonardo Da Vinci E você???

Hipothetically speaking, if I were giving the opportunity to travel back in time and meet 2 people, anyone, from the past, I wouldn’t hesitate to say: Jesus Leonardo Da Vinci in that order. Can you imagine what it would be like to be able to “pick their brains”??? What about you?
